Counterweights and new dampening materials give a balanced touch response across the whole keyboard. That is clearly more than the entry-level action of the smaller Privia models, and it is aimed at players who value an authentic playing feel.
03The sound: the 4-way Spatial Sound System
The PX-S7000 carries a 4-way speaker system rated at 32 watts, which Casio calls the Spatial Sound System. Four ways means that low, mid and high frequencies are reproduced through separate drivers, tuned to the wood and resin resonating body of the cabinet.
In terms of sound the instrument delivers the character of three famous concert grands from Hamburg, New York and Berlin, set within a collection of 400 tones. Combined with the spatial speaker tuning, the result is an open, wide sound that fills the room rather than coming from a single box.
