For everyone who would like to add a special facet to sound work, meditation or yoga, Meinl Sonic Energy has developed this five-piece crystal singing bowl set. Each of the five bowls is assigned to an element of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) – wood, fire, earth, metal and water – and thus provides a versatile sound tool for your practice.

Developed with a TCM Sound Therapy Expert

The tuning of the five bowls was created in collaboration with Woodie Wulin, Daoist priest and expert in TCM sound therapy. Each bowl vibrates at a frequency oriented towards the philosophy of yin & yang and the Five Elements – so you can direct your sound work specifically at individual themes.

Five Frequencies for Five Moods

The wood bowl (324 Hz, ~E4) stands for change and growth, the fire bowl (384 Hz, ~G4) for warmth and expression, the earth bowl (256 Hz, ~C4) for centring, the metal bowl (288 Hz, ~D4) for clarity and the water bowl (432 Hz, ~A4) for depth and inner strength. You therefore receive a set that covers the full range of tonal nuances.

Usage tip

Run the silicone rod evenly along the rim of the bowl to bring up the tone, or use the mallet for a short strike. The TCM Crystal Singing Bowls are inspired by the philosophy of Traditional Chinese Medicine and are not a substitute for medical treatment.
