Kawai K-200: Craftsmanship That Outlasts Generations

With the Kawai K-200 in polished white you bring home a piano that unites traditional craftsmanship and modern engineering in an elegant, high-gloss cabinet. The K series is one of Kawai's best-known piano series – a dependable companion for beginners, returning players and ambitious pianists looking for a classic, refined living-room piano.

Soundboard Made of the Finest Spruce

The heart of every Kawai piano is the soundboard: the K-200 uses solid, tapered spruce, which provides a warm, carrying tonal development. The scale length of the first string measures 1157 mm – giving the bass range sufficient length for a full sound rich in overtones.

Millennium III Action – Precision That Lasts

The Millennium III action works with ABS carbon, a carbon-fibre-reinforced composite material that copes far more calmly with humidity and temperature fluctuations than traditional wood. The hammer heads with mahogany core are double-felted and completely underfelted – this results in a warm, nuanced touch from pianissimo to fortissimo.

Construction & Ease of Use for the Living Room

The steel-reinforced keybed keeps the instrument permanently in shape, while the soft-fall mechanism lets the fallboard close gently and silently. Individual brass castors make the piano easier to move, and four back posts and die-cast aluminium action brackets provide a stable foundation for decades.

Your benefits at a glance:

• Durable action: ABS carbon components reliably withstand climatic fluctuations.
• Warm, expressive sound: solid spruce soundboard and mahogany hammer heads.
• Convenient handling: soft-fall fallboard and smooth-running individual castors.
• Elegant looks: high-gloss polished white finish for any living room.
• Stable foundation: four back posts and a steel-reinforced keybed.
