Yamaha NTX1: The Perfect Bridge to the Nylon World
Forget chunky necks and wide fingerboards – the NTX1 breaks with the traditions of the classical guitar. Its flatter neck profile and narrower nut width allow a playing style that electric guitarists will find instantly familiar. Whether fast runs, thumb grips or playing while standing thanks to the factory-fitted strap buttons: this guitar is built for the stage and for modern playing techniques.
Powerful Sound and Innovative Electronics
The heart of the NTX1 is the solid Sitka spruce top, which provides a brilliant response and great tonal projection. Paired with back and sides in nato, it delivers a balanced, warm tone. For live use it features a state-of-the-art Yamaha under-saddle pickup system with a 3-band EQ that amplifies the natural acoustic sound without feedback problems.
-

Expert Tip
Why the NTX1 for live performers? Many classical guitars are difficult to handle on stage because they are unwieldy when played standing up and tend to feed back quickly. The NTX1 solves both: it is built slimmer, already has strap buttons and the pickup system is extremely feedback-resistant. With its 48 mm nut width it sits exactly between an acoustic guitar (43 mm) and a classical guitar (52 mm) – the absolute "sweet spot" for maximum flexibility!
