Pure Mahogany Tone in a Timeless Dreadnought Shape

The Martin D-15E, part of the celebrated 15 Series, embodies everything Martin has stood for over generations: honest craftsmanship, understated looks, and a tone that speaks for itself. With a solid mahogany top and solid sapele back, it is the ideal choice for singer-songwriters, fingerstyle players, and anyone looking for a characterful, all-round acoustic guitar for the studio, the stage, or the living room.

Solid Wood Combination for a Warm, Focused Tone

The solid mahogany top paired with the solid sapele back delivers a balanced tone with punchy midrange and warm low end. The non-scalloped X-bracing in Sitka spruce lets the top move freely, giving the D-15E a focused, direct response that is quintessentially Martin.

Excellent Playability Thanks to a Well-Designed Neck

The select hardwood neck, with its PA profile and High-Performance Taper, sits comfortably in the hand. The katalox fingerboard with its distinctive Diamond & Squares inlays, combined with a 44.5 mm nut width and 645 mm scale length, provides an excellent platform for both chord work and intricate fingerstyle playing.

Stage-Ready with the Martin E1 Pickup System

The built-in Martin E1 pickup system, with volume, tone, and phase controls plus a built-in chromatic tuner, makes the D-15E instantly stage-ready without any extra accessories.

Your benefits at a glance:

• Warm, balanced tone: Solid mahogany top meets solid sapele back for punchy mids and warm bass.
• Stage-ready: Martin E1 pickup system with built-in tuner for immediate live use.
• Excellent playability: PA profile neck and katalox fingerboard for fatigue-free playing.
