the Yamaha YRS-402 is a three-piece soprano recorder Ecodar™ . This particular plastic is one environmentally conscious variant in which some of the conventional petroleum-based material is carried through Plant starch resins was replaced.
Benefits of Ecodar™
The special material of the YRS-402 has a much higher density than normal plastic. As a result, these flutes achieve a more centered sound, improved wind resistance and easier response. These improvements make the Ecodear™ models sound even more like a wooden recorder. The wind tunnel of the YRS-402 B also has a more pronounced curvature and now corresponds to the standard of professional recorders.
