Lightweight build, big sound – the GEWA Germany Ambition TB501L

The GEWA Germany Ambition TB501L is a Bb tenor trombone built for students, returning players and brass band musicians who want noticeably less weight on the playing arm during practice and on stage. As the lightweight variant of the Ambition series, it features an ultra-light carbon outer slide – ideal for younger or smaller players and for long rehearsals.

Carbon outer slide for effortless playing

The “L” in the name stands for lightweight: instead of the usual brass outer slide, this model comes with a premium carbon slide that is noticeably lighter than classic metal slides. That takes the strain off the playing arm, making the trombone especially comfortable for beginners and anyone who spends a lot of time with the instrument.

Solid bore and classic build

With a .500 inch bore (12.7 mm) and an 8 inch brass bell (203 mm), the TB501L follows the classic layout of a Bb tenor trombone – straightforward to handle and a dependable companion for lessons, orchestra and brass band. The hard chrome-plated nickel silver inner slide ensures smooth slide action, while the clear lacquer finish protects the brass body long-term.

Your benefits at a glance:

• Weight-saving: Ultra-light carbon outer slide takes the strain off your arm.
• Beginner-friendly: Bb trombone, simple to handle.
• Smooth slide action: Hard chrome-plated nickel silver inner slide for precise movement.
• Fully equipped: Includes GEWA 12C mouthpiece and lightweight case with backpack straps.
• Lasting protection: Clear lacquer finish on the brass body.
