The solid spruce soundboard, tapered toward the treble, with a surface area of 1.32 m², 10 ribs and 4 back braces, combined with a maximum speaking string length of 1157 mm, produces a warm, rounded tonal volume. The tone spreader beneath the keybed adds further to the instrument's projection.
