Concert grand piano sound, built for the stage
The Kawai MP7SE is the stage piano for musicians who refuse to compromise on premium grand piano sound and authentic touch, whether performing live or recording in the studio. As the flagship of the Kawai MP series, it combines the keyboard technology of Kawai's finest home pianos with the flexibility of a true stage instrument – compact, rugged and ready to play in seconds.
Authentic touch thanks to Responsive Hammer III
The RH3 keyboard with 88 weighted keys recreates the feel of a genuine grand piano: triple-sensor detection for precise note repetition, Ivory-Touch surfaces for secure grip even during sweat-inducing performances, plus let-off simulation and counterweights for a genuinely mechanical touch.
The sound world of Shigeru Kawai concert grands
With Harmonic Imaging XL and 88-key stereo sampling, the MP7SE brings the sampled tones of the legendary Shigeru Kawai SK-EX and SK-5 concert grands, plus the EX and K-60, to the stage. A total of 256 sounds – from piano to electric piano, organ, synth and brass – can be shaped with 129 effects plus 6 reverb types and an amp simulator, then stored across 256 setups for instant recall.
Ready for any stage or studio
The internal recorder captures roughly 90,000 notes directly as MP3 or WAV – perfect for spontaneous ideas or live recordings. MIDI In/Out/Thru, USB to Host/Device and Line In/Out provide connectivity to your DAW, amp or PA system. At just 22.5 kg, the MP7SE is easy to transport while remaining stage-tough thanks to its metal chassis.
