With the MERIDA Black Hole steel-string guitar you get an instrument with a look all of its own: the figuring of the spalted maple back makes every guitar unique. The Grand Auditorium cutaway body combines a comfortable playing experience with strong projection – ideal for fingerstyle, songwriting and the stage.

Solid cedar top for a warm, direct tone

The solid cedar top responds to even a light touch with a full, warm tone and fast attack – one reason many fingerstyle players prefer cedar over spruce. Paired with the spalted maple back and sides, it produces an open, overtone-rich sound with pleasant warmth in the low end.

Comfortable neck, smooth fretboard

The mahogany neck adds stability and a warm tonal foundation, while the rosewood fretboard and bridge deliver smooth playability across the full 650 mm scale length. A 43 mm nut width leaves generous string spacing – even for percussive playing and complex chord voicings.

Stage-ready thanks to Fishman electronics

The cutaway gives you free access to the upper frets, and the built-in Fishman ISY-201 pickup/preamp system makes the Black Hole stage-ready right away – with tone controls and tuner right on the body.
